The Electrotechnical apprenticeship will equip you for a career as an Electrician; installing electrical equipment or electronic systems, carrying out inspections and testing on installations, identification and repair of faults and commissioning of various types of electrical systems.

Once your Electrotechnical apprenticeship is completed, apprentices obtaining high grades in technical certificates may be able to progress through our Performance Management and Talent programmes to higher level qualifications, up to and including degree level.
Education and Employment Programme
Your 4 year programme consists of both off-site and on-site training and assessment. All NG Bailey's off-site training is carried out at the Bailey Engineering Academy, in Leeds. This means you will be required to stay in Leeds in 2 - 3 week blocks (returning home at weekends) for up to 28 weeks in years 1 and 2 of your apprenticeship. This will decrease to only 2 - 3 weeks in years 3 and 4. Whilst attending the off-site training in Leeds, your accomodation will be provided and funded by NG Bailey.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSE's (or equivalent) Grade C or above to include English, Mathematics and a Science
