The Bailey Leadership Academy

Our Leadership Academy sets new standards for the industry. It is a superb facility, set in grounds of 2,500 acres, which provides an excellent environment for learning, including conference rooms, outdoor team activities and residential facilities.

We coach and develop our people to excel as managers and leaders, to do this we develop programmes tailored to our requirements, using a variety of learning techniques and methods. This dual manager-leader emphasis distinguishes NG Bailey from many other companies. Our management activities focus on planning, co-ordination and project management behaviours, skills and capabilities. Our leadership activities focus on improving your ability to communicate effectively, to understand and make difficult decisions and develop excellent customer relationships.

During the last training year over 830 people have attended courses, encouraging leadership at every level of the business from site supervisors and managers, to senior executives. Including:

• 200 supervisors currently taking a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) level 2 Certificate in Team Leading
• 20 managers taking a diploma in leadership and management accrediated by the Chartered Management Institute and 20 managers taking a Post Graduate Leadership Diploma with Loughborough Business School
• Over 40 senior executives participating in the executive development programme, through the Ashridge Business School, with the focus on the strategy and leadership aspects of an MBA
